Being a Model

The Academy is continually in need of models for our students and as such, our program has integrated our models into our training Academy. Debra trains our students or by one of her team of Aesthetic Beauty Consultants, they are an integral part of the curriculum and are treated in a professional manner in the same way as a full paying client.

Lecturer at the Academy, Debra Robson-Lawrence said: "We are looking for confident male or female over 18 who are interested in assisting our students to develop their semi permanent make-up skills under the strict supervision of Debra Robson-Lawrence, or one of our Aesthetic Training Practitioners. The treatments include eyebrows, eyeliners and lip treatments.

The Academy attracts high quality technicians who generally have background knowledge and experience in the cosmetic and beauty related industry. And all the training is conducted in a safe clinical environment.

We offer a reasonably priced program for procedures being performed by our students completing their training. Being a model is a safe process in that our practitioners are with the students at all times monitoring their every move. It allows people to take advantage of having semi permanent make-up at a reduced cost.

Booking an Appointment -With the academy being in great demand we have a waiting list. Appointments are booked on a first come first serve basis. The amount of students registered for a particular class determines the amount of models booked per month.
Colour and contour - The contour of the eyebrows and lip liner is always drawn on prior to the procedure. Once you have approved the contour and colour we then continue with the actual tattooing Eyeliner for the upper and lower lids is tattooed along the lash line.
Your Expectations - Once the procedure is completed the freshly tattooed pigment is implanted close to the surface of the skin and therefore appears much darker than what it really is. Complete healing generally takes approximately 3 to 4 weeks. For some, the first few days are a little overwhelming but the colour always fades and buffs very naturally into the skin.
Minimising any discomfort - Topical anaesthetics are applied to the skin before, and during the procedure to assure you of the most comfortable experience possible. Many clients describe the sensation as a “tingling” feeling. On a scale of 1-10, most rate the discomfort between 0-3. A dental block is available to completely numb the area for advanced lip procedures.
Practitioner Supervision - Procedures are performed by students who are in training under the strict supervision of our Practitioners. Procedures are also performed by the lectures. The minimum teacher to student ratio is one teacher to two students. Often some of our classes have a one to one ratio.
Guarantees - There are no guarantees as to how much colour will stay however we can include and strongly recommend a refresh treatment this can be arranged at the time of booking.
Post Procedure Care - Home care is simple. The less you do the better the procedure will heal. Moa healing Balm must be applied over the tattooed area many times a day for 2–3 weeks. This product is available at the Academy and is purchased by you at the end of your appointment for a minimal charge.
Schedules and class dates - Training classes are held periodically. All procedures are performed on designated days and specific times click on the link for availability.

Terms & Conditions - Special offer treatments are limited to clients willing to be models during student training on specific days. If a retouch is included in the treatment price it must be taken one month after the training date. Treatments are chargeable in advance and are non refundable and cannot be rescheduled under any circumstance. Full payment is due when you call, and appointments cannot be reserved without payment.
